CLEVELAND — Fiesta Holdings LLC announced the acquisition of Pinata Foods, Inc., doing business as Festa Food Co., which manufactures clean-label frozen and fresh Mexican-style food products, including tortillas.

Pinata Foods began as a private label and co-packing manufacturer of tortillas and burritos in 1993, but quickly evolved into a clean-ingredient, nutritionally dense, flexible facility that produces a full line of meals.

“We believe [Pinata Foods] is poised for growth and continued expansion into the emerging food-as-medicine segment by providing the highest-quality, medically tailored meals that support healthy lifestyles and proactive nutritional chronic disease management,” said Michael Needler Jr., founder of MSN Companies, who led the acquisition for Fiesta Holdings.

Pinata Foods will continue evolving its medically tailored meal segment by adding a direct-to-consumer business later this year. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
