ITASCA, IL — To celebrate its 80th anniversary, private label brand Food Club held a Boy Band Bake-Off featuring NSYNC’s Lance Bass and Backstreet Boys’ A.J. McLean battling it out for the title of Best Boy Band Baker.

The bake-off challenged the competitors to utilize Food Club ingredients to bake and decorate cakes of album covers from the other musicians’ careers. Bass recreated the cover for Backstreet Boys’ “Millennium,” and McLean decorated NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached.”

Consumers voted for their favorite cake through social media channels; however, both singers were declared the winners, and each earned a donation in their name to Food Club partner Feeding America.

“Partnering with Food Club was a no-brainer,” Bass said. “I grew up with Food Club providing for my family and community. I can still picture, smell and taste those moments that felt like home. Everyone deserves that same access to good food, and I am proud to play a part in making that possible.”

Food Club’s partnership with Feeding America also includes a $5 million meal donation to help end hunger in communities across the nation.
