STOCKTON, CA — Following the 2019 release of its ready-to-use Nut Pie Crusts, Diamond of California has reformulated the product through a gluten-free lens.
“Our new gluten-free Nut Pie Crust is a direct response to numerous consumer requests we have received since our initial launch,” said Craig Tokusato, chief marketing officer at Diamond of California. “For the last six years, our team has worked to meticulously craft a premium alternative that everyone at the table can and will enjoy, regardless of dietary restrictions.”
The two new crusts retain their classic nutty flavor and texture sans wheat-based ingredients.
The Pecan option features a sweet and buttery flavor to offer an alternative to traditional pie or graham cracker crusts. Diamond of California’s Chocolate Nut flavor is made from a mix of pecans, walnuts and real cocoa.
Both 9-inch crusts are available nationwide at Walmart for an SRP of $4.99. The brand will also launch the pie crusts in World Market and Amazon this summer, with expanded distribution planned for later this year.
