CAMDEN, NJ — The Campbell’s Co. board of directors voted to promote Mick Beekhuizen, current CFO, to president and CEO, effective Feb. 1. He will be the 15th CEO in the company’s 155-year history.

Beekhuizen has also been elected to serve as a director of the company. He will remain president of Campbell’s Meals & Beverages division until the transition.

“The board has had a strong CEO succession process in place for the last several years, and we are fortunate to have a deep bench of talented executives prepared to lead the company as CEO,” Keith McLoughlin, chair of Campbell’s board of directors. “Mick is a superb leader with a track record of success. The board is confident that he has all the requisite skills and capabilities to continue to drive the strategy that has delivered consistently strong results and created value for shareholders.”

Beekhuizen joined The Campbell’s Co. in September 2019 as CFO and was named Meals & Beverages president in 2022. He played a pivotal role in the $2.7 billion acquisition of Sovos Brands. Prior to joining the company, he served as executive VP and CFO of Chobani from 2016-2019.

Beekhuizen will succeed Mark Clouse, who is retiring from the company and CPG industry on Jan. 31 to serve as president of the NFL’s Washington Commanders. Since joining Campbell’s in January 2019, he has led the reshaping of the company’s portfolio toward category-leading brands.
