CHICAGO — In anticipation of National Cheesecake Day coming up on July 30, Eli’s Cheesecake Co. is celebrating the occasion with a brand collaboration, cheesecake giveaway and discounted slices.
The third-generation bakery partnered with J.P. Graziano Grocery, a fourth-generation Italian grocery store, to create Cannoli Cheesecake. Inspired by J.P. Graziano’s signature cannoli, the cheesecake features a cannoli crumb crust; Eli’s classic cheesecake filling mixed with ricotta, candied orange peel and bittersweet chocolate chips; and topped with mascarpone mousse and wild Amarena cherries. The Cannoli Cheesecake will be available at Eli’s Cheesecake Cafe in Chicago, on the bakery’s website and inside J.P. Graziano.
In honor of the holiday and the bakery’s 44th birthday, Eli’s Cheesecake will be selling cheesecake slices for 44 cents on Saturday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 30 at its brick-and-mortar shop.
To round out the celebration, the bakery will be passing out free cheesecake at various locations across Chicago on July 30.
Eli’s Cheesecake celebrated the holiday and its anniversary in a similar fashion last summer.
