ISLANDIA, NY — Entenmann’s, a Bimbo Bakeries USA brand, released a children’s book inspired by the life of William Entenmann, the bakery brand’s founder.

The book William Entenmann: A Baker’s Baker was written by Amy Salinger, an elementary school librarian, and illustrated by Amelina Jones. The story features the beginning of Entenmann’s journey, the opening of his first bakery in the late 1800s and the journey to what the brand is today.

“I have always wanted to write a picture book biography for children and thought deeply about a famous person whose life had not been written about yet,” Salinger said. “While at my local supermarket, I admired the Entenmann’s display table, and the idea of who the person was behind the famous bakery name was born. I grew up on Entenmann’s pastries and cookies, so the idea had an even more special meaning for me.”

William Entenmann: A Baker’s Baker is available for purchase for $19.95 on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million and in Canada for $26.95 on Chapters Indigo.
